Jube School Presents: International Dance Day with Young Bhangra Calgary
Kick off the week with this International Dance Day event, Get ready to move, groove, and feel the beat in this high-energy Bhangra workshop! This workshop introduces the vibrant dance style from Punjab, combining rhythmic footwork, dynamic arm movements, and upbeat choreography. Students will learn the basics, building confidence and coordination along the way. By the end of the workshop, you’ll be dancing to infectious beats, feeling energized, and having a blast.

About the artist: Amandeep Sidhu was born in India and migrated to Calgary in 2000 with a dream of sharing multicultural folk dances with diverse communities. In 2012, he founded Young Bhangra Club, where students learn Bhangra, Gidha, and traditional musical instruments. The club also trains dance teams for North American competitions, having participated in over 30 events and won numerous trophies across various categories.
Young Bhangra Calgary's mission is to engage children, youth, and adults in different physical activities.
