Jube School Presents: Stand-Up Comedy with Leif Oleson-Cormack
If you’ve ever wanted to try stand-up, write funnier stories, or just be the funniest person at the lunch table, this workshop is for you! In this one-hour interactive session, comedian Leif Oleson-Cormack will walk students through the building blocks of what makes a great joke. Using real-time student suggestions submitted through the chat, the class will build jokes together while learning simple, powerful tools like surprise, specificity, and timing.
Along the way, Leif will share tips on delivery, help students understand what makes a punchline land, and show how comedy can be a tool for storytelling, self-expression, and connection.
Recommended grades: 7 - 9
Supplies needed: Paper and pencils.
